Please read these terms carefully before using Bedrock Sites.
Bedrock Sites provides website design, development, hosting, domain registration, and business software services targeted at home service contractors, tradespeople, and small local businesses. Our Services include but are not limited to:
To access the client portal and manage your website, you must create an account by providing accurate, complete, and current information including your name, business name, email address, and a password. You represent and warrant that all information you provide is truthful and accurate.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized access to or use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your credentials.
Each business site is associated with one client account. You may not transfer your account to another party without our prior written consent.
A one-time website build fee of $200 is due at the time of purchase. This fee covers website design, development, AI-generated content drafting, and domain registration. The build fee is non-refundable once your website has been built and deployed.
Hosting is $20 per month or $200 per year. Your first billing cycle begins 30 days after your website goes live. Recurring fees are billed in advance via the payment method on file.
Hosting is included at no charge while you maintain an active Bedrock Toolbox subscription (currently $100 per month or $1,000 per year). This free hosting is tied to your Toolbox: if your Toolbox subscription ends, your free hosting ends with it. To keep your website online after canceling the Toolbox, you must switch to a paid hosting plan ($20 per month or $200 per year). If you do not, your website is taken offline at the end of your current billing period and your domain enters a 30-day release window — yours to take with you on request (see Sections 4 and 7.2).
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days advance written notice via email before increasing your recurring monthly fee. Continued use of the Services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
If a payment fails or is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your hosting. We will provide at least 7 days notice before suspension.
You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, and governmental charges associated with your purchase of the Services, except for taxes based on our net income.
In addition to your website, we offer optional software subscriptions, billed monthly or annually in advance: Bedrock Marketing ($30 per month), Bedrock Finance & Operations ($70 per month), the Marketing + Finance & Operations bundle ($85 per month), and the Bedrock Toolbox ($100 per month or $1,000 per year), which includes every tool together with website hosting. Current pricing is always shown at checkout and on our pricing page. The price shown when you subscribe is the price you pay until we give you notice of a change under Section 3.3.
Software subscriptions may be canceled at any time under Section 7.1. They are billed for the full period in advance, and no refunds are issued for partial periods, except as provided by the annual-plan refund in Section 7.1 and the Time-Savings Guarantee in Section 7.5. Canceling ends your access to that tool at the end of the period you have already paid for; the business records you created in it remain available to you under Section 7.2.
If you subscribe to a bundle that includes a tool you already hold individually, we cancel the superseded individual subscription and apply prorated credit toward the bundle. You will not be charged twice for the same tool.
All subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Monthly plans renew each month and annual plans renew each year, on the anniversary of your start date, charged to the payment method on file at the then-current price. You may cancel at any time from your portal billing page or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. We email a receipt after every charge, and will give at least 30 days advance notice by email before any increase to a recurring fee.
When you purchase a website build, Bedrock Sites will register a domain name for your business through our domain registrar. While your plan is active, the domain is managed by Bedrock Sites as part of your service: we register it, connect it to your website, and renew it at no additional charge.
The domain is registered for your business, and if you leave, you can take it with you. When your subscription ends, we keep the domain registered and active through a 30-day release window following the end of your final billing period. During that window, contact [email protected] and we will provide the domain's transfer authorization (EPP) code and unlock it so you can move it to a registrar account of your own. If you do not request the release before the window closes, automatic renewal stays off and the registration simply lapses at the end of the period already paid for.
Two limits set by the domain system itself, not by us: (a) ICANN rules lock a newly registered domain against registrar transfers for the first 60 days after registration — your domain still works and points at your site during that time, you just cannot move it to a different registrar until the 60 days pass; (b) any fees charged by the receiving registrar for the transfer or subsequent renewals are yours. Premium-priced domains and domains you registered yourself at another registrar are outside this section — domains you already own were never ours to hold and remain entirely yours.
While your subscription is active, Bedrock Sites manages domain renewals at no additional charge. When your subscription ends, automatic renewal is turned off, the domain stays live through the 30-day release window described in Section 4.2, and it is released to you on request during that window. If the registration would expire during the window, contact us and we will work out the handoff before it lapses.
Bedrock Sites uses artificial intelligence to draft website copy — including headlines, service descriptions, FAQs, and about-page content — based on the information you provide. This content is a starting point only. You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before your site goes live and for ensuring it is accurate, truthful, and compliant with applicable laws.
Our software tools also use artificial intelligence to generate business documents and content on your behalf — including estimates, invoices, customer messages, job notes, expense categorizations, financial summaries, and marketing copy. AI output can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, including in its arithmetic. Every AI-generated document is a draft for your review. You are solely responsible for checking each estimate, invoice, price, total, tax treatment, and customer communication before you send it, rely on it, or act on it.
Bedrock Sites is not an accountant, bookkeeper, tax preparer, attorney, or financial advisor. Nothing produced by the Services — including financial statements, projections, margin figures, expense categorizations, or summaries generated from your QuickBooks or other connected data — constitutes accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. These outputs are informational tools only and are not a substitute for a qualified professional. You should confirm your books, your tax positions, and any figure you report to a third party with your own accountant or attorney. We are not liable for decisions you make in reliance on AI-generated output.
You agree not to claim on your website that you hold licenses, certifications, insurance, bonding, or professional memberships that you do not actually hold. Making false claims about licensure or qualifications may violate state and federal laws. We expressly disclaim liability for any claims you add to your website.
You may not use our Services to publish content that:
By uploading content (photos, logos, copy) to our Services, you grant Bedrock Sites a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.
You own the content you provide — your business name, photos, custom copy, and branding. The built website itself (its code, templates, design, and hosted implementation) is part of the Bedrock service and is not transferred to you on cancellation.
Bedrock Sites retains all rights to the platform, software, underlying code, templates, algorithms, and tools used to build and host your website. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of our intellectual property to you.
We may include a small "Built by Bedrock Sites" attribution in the footer of your website. You may request removal of this attribution by contacting us.
You may cancel any subscription at any time from your portal billing page or by contacting [email protected]. There are no contracts and no early-termination fees. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for; no refunds are issued for partial periods. Annual plans: if you cancel within the first 30 days of an annual term, we will refund that annual payment in full. After 30 days, the plan runs through the end of the annual term and simply does not renew.
Upon cancellation: (a) your website will be taken offline at the end of the billing period; (b) your domain stays registered and active through the 30-day release window and is released to you on request — see Section 4.2; (c) the content you provided (photos, logos, copy) remains yours and is available on request for 90 days after cancellation.
Canceling the Bedrock Toolbox. Because your free website hosting is included with the Toolbox, canceling the Toolbox also ends your free hosting. Unless you switch to a paid hosting plan ($20 per month or $200 per year) before your billing period ends, your website is taken offline at the end of that period, and your domain enters the 30-day release window described in Section 4.2. If you would like to keep your website, choose to keep paid hosting at the time you cancel, or contact [email protected].
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you: (a) materially breach these Terms; (b) fail to pay fees when due; (c) use the Services for illegal or harmful purposes; or (d) engage in conduct that may harm Bedrock Sites, other clients, or third parties.
If you have paid the build fee but your site has not yet been built and deployed, you may request a full refund within 7 days of payment by contacting [email protected].
We stand behind the Bedrock Toolbox. If, during your first month as a paying Toolbox subscriber, you set up the tools and do not save at least 10 hours of office work, we will refund that first month. To claim it, email [email protected] before the end of your first monthly billing period — or, for annual Toolbox plans, within the first 30 days — and let us know it did not save you the time. This guarantee applies to your first Toolbox billing period only, one per customer, and covers the Toolbox subscription fee. It does not cover the one-time $200 website build fee, which is governed by Sections 3.1 and 7.4.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR CONTINUOUS AVAILABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
We do not guarantee specific results from your website, including search engine rankings, traffic levels, lead generation, or revenue. Results vary based on your market, competition, and other factors outside our control.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BEDROCK SITES LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO BEDROCK SITES LLC IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bedrock Sites and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) the content you publish on your website; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
Our Services integrate with third-party providers, including Stripe (payment processing), Cloudflare (hosting infrastructure), Name.com (domain registration), Supabase (data storage), Netlify (application hosting), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (the artificial intelligence that powers content generation and the Donna assistant), and — only if you choose to connect them — Google (Business Profile) and Intuit (QuickBooks Online). Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party service providers, for their availability, or for any loss or corruption of data occurring within their systems. Our Privacy Policy describes what information each provider receives.
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute by contacting us at [email protected]. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgment may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at the address associated with your account and post the updated Terms on our website with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other agreements expressly incorporated herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bedrock Sites with respect to the Services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, representations, and agreements.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic, war, cyberattacks, or failures of third-party infrastructure providers.
